Due to its massive size, Texas ranks second among all 50 states when it comes to size, population, and specifically its economy.  Texas is the largest supplier in the nation of cotton, cabbage, and watermelons and is also the nation's leader in cattle ranching.  Wheat, spinach, corn, and a number of other grains are also important crops in the state.  In 2006, economic output in dollars of Texas was approximately $1.09 trillion, second only to California.

Truck drivers are particularly critical to the agricultural industry of Texas; trucking services are needed to carry goods produced in the state all over the region and throughout the country.  Businesses would be in trouble without truck drivers and the economy of not only Texas, but the country need drivers to keep the economy moving forward.
